Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday" Hits Number 1 / by

Nicki Minaj has topped the Billboard 200 Albums Chart with her debut album "Pink Friday". She becomes the first female rapper since 1999 to have a number one album, Eve being the last with her album "Let There Be Eve". She has exceeded the one million mark, making her album certified platinum and sales to-date are sitting at a whopping 1.3 million copies. Nicki tweeted her excitement below.

Good for her. This just goes to shows that she IS SELLING albums. She didn't debut at number one, but 11 weeks later she nabs the spot. A lot of people are saying it's due to her "SNL" guest appearance and the fact that Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez posted viral videos of themselves rapping to her songs. Whatever the reason, she has much to celebrate. Not only is her album number one, but her single "Moment 4 Life" is sitting on the top of the Hip-Hop charts. Congratulations ROMAN!!!
