We're you a user of this popular file sharing site? Well it is no more. The popular Mega Upload file sharing site has been shut down completely by the FBI thus kicking off the SOPA PIPA (Internet Piracy). Not only has it been shut down, but Swizz Beatz was listed as the site's CEO but he's not facing any criminal charge.yet. Instead he has to deal with Universal Music Group for including a handful of their artists in a video that promoted the website.

As you can see, it featured big names in the entertainment business like Kanye West, Diddy,, Snoop Dogg, Jamie Foxx, Serena Williams, Macy Gray Lil Jon, Floyd Mayweather, The Game, Kim Kardashian, Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown and Swizz’s wife Alicia Keys. All of which supported the site. UMG said that they didn’t give any of their artists approval to endorse any other company — especially one that has a reputation of hijacking albums illegally. So now, they are suing Swizz Beatz.

Four indivutuals have been arrested and seven other indicted on charges that inclue “conspiracy to commit racketeering and criminal copyright infringement”. The site has reportedly responsible for costing the film, music, and television industry more than $500 million in revenue, while banking more than $175 million in criminal proceeds. But not long after the site was shutdown by the government, backlash erupted a with hack attack.

Shits getting serious. These sites will disappear one by one.
