The Game Casts Lauren London For New Role / by

Actress Lauren London has picked up a full time gig on BET's hit television show The Game. Last month, fans were devastated after news broke that Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall were not returning to the new season.

Just a few weeks ago, I also told you that the show was looking for two new faces, one to play the role of Kiera and the other to play Bryce. London has filled the shoes for the female lead who will supposedly take the place of Melanie. Check out the article below.

Lauren London (90210) is joining the BET comedy’s sixth season as a series regular, TVLine has learned.

The actress — whose credits also include Single Ladies and Madea’s Big Happy Family – will play Kiera, a former child star who is currently appearing in a Cosby Show-esque sitcom.

Producers are also on the lookout for an actor to play an all-star running back. Both roles are intended to fill the void left by departing cast members Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall (aka Melanie and Derwin).

Back for the new season are Wendy Raquel Robinson, Coby Bell, Hosea Chanchez, Brandy Norwood and Barry A. Floyd.

This should be interesting. Lauren has a decent sized fan base. I never thought they would have cast her. She was featured on "Reed Between The Lines" last season as a patient. I'm not that big of a fan. Her acting isn't great. She did an okay job in "ATL" but after that it was like meh..I wonder who they have in mind for the male lead? It will probably be a struggling R&B star with an attempt to revive his career.

She's very pretty though, I wonder if folks will accept her to fill Tia's shoes? They are a lot to fill. I did say that the producers would have to bring in some very familiar faces to sustain their ratings, I just have to see how long this will last. what do you think? Will you be rooting for Lauren or booing her?
