Last night was the season finale of True Blood. The show wrapped up it's 5th season and if you missed it, as always, Dimp-Zone has you covered. A lot unfolds in this episode, though the ending is similar to the rest of the past season finales...they only leave you wanting more. On this episode, you will witness Sam and Luna doing everything that they have to do in order to get Emma back. They shift from humans to insects within minutes while coming up with a plan. Alceed returns to the old pack and issues a new challenge.
Andy and his fairly lady gave birth to a "batch" of kids who are half human and half fairy. Eric and Nora returns to the authority complex with Sookie, Jason and Tara as the plan on rescuing Bill, Pam and Jessica. Moments before, Eric saved Sookie and the other fairies by finally eliminating Russell Edgington. Only Bill has been brained washed into the religion so deeply that he comes up with a plan to kill off the last vampire that was standing in his way and consumes all of Lilith's blood and the unthinkable happens.
The ending, like I said will leave you wanting more. Not only that, but a bonus scene was released on HBO GO and it some what answered the question that I'm sure will be playing through your mind as you watch this episode. Check it out below.
Now that the season is over, I can voice my opinion. So I felt that this season was a bit lackluster. I guess I was so used to getting introduced into a new villain. We had the witches, werewolves, demonic demons, shifters and more. This time around, nothing new was introduced. Except for newer vampires who I knew we're all going to die at some point within the season.
Secondly, I was a little upset that with this season, each character had their own individual story line. In the end it all tied together linking them all in the same place. But in past seasons, there was one main plot and all of the characters story revolved around it. I was hoping for more Tara, Sookie and Lafayette screen action. I love the three of them.
It just felt like this season was all over the place with all of the different story lines. At one point into the season I lost interest because I felt it was quite boring, but it all picked up after it was revealed that Warlow was after Sookie. I was hoping to hear and see more of him and was hoping that the story line unfolded, but after watching that bonus scene, it looks like they're saving it for next season.
I also didn't like the fact that story lines just abruptly ended without a trace. Like the whole Sookie killing Debbie thing, it was erased and over with by Jessica glamouring Andy...and that was it, I was hoping for a more drama filled ending to that story line. Also, the ending of Tara and Sookie's relationship, it just ended.
I was just left unsatisfied this season. I just felt it was missing something and the one thing I was excited about (Warlow), I have to wait until next damn year to see what this is all about. But this is their way of making me want to watch more. Spoilers are set to hit the net any day now, but I won't bother posting them.. This will be the last post about True Blood until the previews surface next year.
Thanks for watching this season with me, I hope you enjoyed!!
