Adele may be knocked up and about the same size as Christina Aguilera, but that isn't putting the brakes on her successful singing career. She is now the new voice of the "007" franchise for it's latest movie and she has been snagged for the films leading song.
It's called "Skyfall" and was produced by Paul Epworth. She gracefully sings while being backed up by a 77 piece orchestra. The track will make it's full debut on October 5th on her official website. Below you can read Adele's initial thoughts about taking on the project and give the song a listen as I've attach the snippet for you listening pleasure.
“I was a little hesitant at first to be involved with the theme song for ‘Skyfall’”, stated Adele. ‘There’s a lot of instant spotlight and pressure when it comes to a Bond song but I fell in love with the script, and Paul had some great ideas for the track and it ended up being a bit of a no brainer to do it in the end.”
“It was also a lot of fun writing to a brief,” Adele continued, “something I’ve never done which made it exciting. When we recorded the strings, it was one of the proudest moments of my life. I’ll be back combing my hair when I’m 60 telling people I was a Bond girl back in the day I’m sure!”
Word travels fast. I mean, it was just announced today that she recorded the song, and now there's a snippet. Within a few days, you'll be able to hear it in full and buy it on iTunes. In the meantime, do you think Adele will snatch up wigs with this song?
Just think about it...One of the best selling female recording artist's of the last few years, teaming up with a bigger than life movie franchise only equals more success for Adele.
