Beyonce is gracing the cover of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People cover. The singer was being honored as one of the world's most influential people with her many business endeavors, music and much more. Inside, she speaks on who her biggest influences are and how honored she is to shoot for Time.
Beyonce also launched the #WhatIsPretty campaign to go along with the release of her newest single "Pretty Hurts". On the website, What is Pretty, she asks... "How do you define pretty? Upload a photo or video to Instagram tagged #whatispretty that captures what the word means to you." "I feel like my mother and my daughter have probably been the most influential [in my life] and being a mother, and becoming a mother, and looking at my daughter in her eyes, made me into a woman and made me very, very strong.
Shooting for Time magazine was definitely one of the goals in my life. It’s something very important to me as an artist because it’s not about fashion or beauty, it’s about the influence I’ve had on our culture and to be among the other influential people is a huge honor for me. "
When asked, “What would you do if you weren’t afraid?” She responded:
